Surface or airspace disinfection?
The two methods don’t replace each other.
Surface disinfection targets directly reachable, frequently touched surfaces: work benches, machine surfaces, door handles, switches, sanitary rooms. It requires contact time — the product has to remain on the surface for a set period to be effective.
Airspace disinfection by ULV fogging also reaches hard-to-access surfaces. It is the effective method for terminal disinfection, and for large-volume warehouses and production halls.
Where do we carry it out?
In food-processing plants, in both production and social areas; in healthcare and social care institutions — hospitals, care homes, clinics — in infection-risk areas; in educational institutions after an epidemiological event; and in logistics and manufacturing facilities.
Procedure
Before treatment we record the areas to be treated, the surface types and any material incompatibilities. Next comes product selection — on surfaces in contact with food we use only products authorised for that use — followed by the treatment itself, and finally the report.
We always communicate the re-entry interval, and whether a subsequent rinse is required, in writing beforehand.
