Insect traps
A UV insect trap continuously reduces and monitors flying insects. There are two types: the electric grid kills the insect, while the glue board keeps it intact – and in a food-contact area, only the glue board type may be used.
Glue board
The insect sticks to the glue board, so the body stays intact and the catch can be counted. In a zone that contacts food this is the only acceptable option, and it is also what produces the catch data a monitoring programme needs.
