Halo 30 LED

Glue board trap
The insect sticks to the glue board, so the body stays intact and the catch can be counted. In a zone that contacts food this is the only acceptable option, and it is also what produces the catch data a monitoring programme needs.

Where should it be placed?
The trap attracts flying insects with light, so placement determines how effective it is. It should not face the entrance directly – light shining outward from there tends to lure insects in – but to the side, 2–3 metres from the entrance, away from natural light sources. It must not be placed directly above a food-contact surface.
Maintenance
A UV tube's output drops even while it is still lit, so it should be replaced every year – typically before the season starts. The glue board should be replaced depending on how full it is, but at least quarterly, and the removed board is worth evaluating as part of the monitoring programme.
